October 1886 The former Shiroishi Kosan Shokai is founded
1889 The first full-fledged milling factory in Tohoku is established and becomes one of the few throughout Japan to use the "French Stone" Ishiusu-style flour mill
1892 Shiroishi umen is presented to the Imperial Household Ministry and the Crown
September 1894 Shiroishi umen enters the Chicago World’s Fair and receives an award
